David A. Schwedel

David A. Schwedel is the General Partner and Founder of DAS Family Holdings, L.P. He has been involved in all phases of the partnership's development and approves all corporate finance commitments by the partnership.

Mr. Schwedel is a lifetime entrepreneur. He started his first business at the age of 13, Florida Marine Services, which five years later was sold successfully to a South Florida marine business with more than 100 registered customers. During College, Mr. Schwedel co-founded a graphic design studio, Advance Graphics, which later grew into a full service advertising agency managing media placement,
creative design, direct marketing, and radio commercial production servicing major national accounts including ITT/Sheraton, Your Choice Music Centers, Bendix, and many others.

Mr. Schwedel began his corporate finance career in 1986 at the OLMC group of companies, a Miami, Florida venture capital firm where he was an instrumental part of building the group's assets from $30 million to more than $300 million in less than five years. He was eventually promoted to Senior Vice President. In 1992, Mr. Schwedel founded Florida Marine Management, Inc., (MAREX) which he personally
funded with less than $2 million. Over the next seven years, Mr. Schwedel grew the company to become a NASDAQ NMS listed company with a $550 million market capitalization.

Today, Mr. Schwedel serves as Partner and Chairman, Corporate Finance for Union Charter, Director of Union Charter Financial, Ltd, Chairman of Union Charter Consulting, Inc., President of Union Charter Real Estate, Ltd. and Director of Union Charter Capital, Ltd. Mr. Schwedel has served the State of Florida on behalf of former Governor Jeb Bush on the Technology Leadership Council, and is a member or advocate of several Florida charitable organizations including the Florida Children's Home Society, Miami Children's Hospital, and the Miami Museum of Science. Mr. Schwedel is a third generation Miami, Florida resident where he lives with his family.
